午後一番のレナプール。開始後５キャストでサーモンをフッキング。サーモンが十分フライをくわえるまで待って、ロッドを岸寄りに倒し、フッキングを確実にする。

In Renna Pool in June 10th, after 5 casting the Salmon took the fly.

　
フックアップ後、サーモンは凄まじい勢いで下流に走った。「凄い力。もう100メートル走ってる！」と、スプリングフィッシュのパワーに感動。

The fish was very strong and going 100 m downstream in no time after hooking up.

　
遙か彼方から寄せてきたと思ったら強烈なジャンプ。リールが鳴りっぱなし。

Jumping!

　

サーモンは更に抵抗を続ける。凄まじいスピードでリールが逆転。

The salmon pulled the FLA BEAM out with superb speed.

　
ロッドのパワーを利用してサーモンを流心から引き離しにかかる。ロッドはSS1712D_H。このロッドを使っての初めてのファイトは今シーズン大変楽しみにしていた。「このクラスの魚とファイトするには最高！」と、ロッドのパワーに敬意を表する。

Ken used his new rod SS1712D_H with outstanding casting performance and stout construction.

　
更にジャンプ。重たい飛沫が上がる。

Jumping again!

　
サーモンとの勝負がついたと判断したら岸に上がる。「強い魚だ。」

When the salmon becomes groggy, Ken stepped up to the bank for landing it.

　
まだまだ魚は元気。岸を見るなり勢いよくUターン。ここで無理をするとあっけなくバレる危険が。

When the salmon colosing to the bank, it suddenly changed the way to the river.

　
マリーアンはカメラを石の上に置いてネットを差し出す。すくったサーモンが重く、ネットの柄が反ってしまっている。思わず「大っきい！」

Finally Ken lead the fish into the landing net Mary Anne held out. The season's first salmon was not small, but not a monster.

　
フライは６月のレナ定番のアクアマリン・スクィッド1.5"。2000年には14kgを引っ張り出した。

Ken choiced Aquamarine Squid on 1.5" plastic tube. In the season 2000, this fly caught 14kg nice cock salmon.

　
シルバーに輝く美形のオス。この美しさを手にしたら、日本からはるばるノルウェーまで通うための苦労が吹っ飛ぶ。

Also this fish was beautiful cock fish.

　
「そんなにない。多分・・・12.5kg。13あるかどうか！・・・」計測の結果、予想通り12.9kgでした。

Ken measured the salmon by himself. "Not so big, perhaps 12.5kg, or a little shorter than 13.kg..."
The fish weighed 12.9kg at the office of NFC.
